I already knew Kristoffer without having seen him. We connected through his music while I kept listening to his new album over and over. By the time we met I had deeply grasped the poesy of his lyrics. We shot this portrait on a sunny April morning in Kreuzberg.
Markus is an authority. Being one of the most influential bloggers, he’s significantly shaped German net culture and politics. For more than a decade, Markus is at the topmost issues of the raising digital society. Every year in spring, he hosts the international web conference re:publica in Berlin. Blake Worrell represents real. From the heart of Los Angeles, to the chill of Berlin, he has covered more unique ground than most in his field. After witnessing his show at KaterHolzig, I was amazed by his powerful music and incredible charisma. Blake and I met sometime later to shoot this portrait.
Fleur is both a rebel and a dreamer. A combination I believe is at the heart of black music. If anyone translates the feel of soul into German, it’s her. Fleur Earth has a new band and is currently recording new tracks. Expect her album to be out this summer.
Dieter Meier is a great gentleman and we are proud to have him. Best known as the singer of Yello, he was in town to promote his Out of Chaos concerts in Zurich and Berlin later this month. We had a great discussion while shooting on a Friday afternoon at Paris Bar in Charlottenburg.
